Alan Stebbings BA FCA – Managing Director
Experience/specialisms: Qualifying with KPMG(Peat Marwick as they were then!) in 1974, Alan has over 30 years experience in practice, 25 of which have been as a Partner/Director dealing with small and medium businesses and individuals. He is responsible for the overall operation of the practice and specialises in Capital Gains and Capital Tax Planning and Investigation Work.
Qualifications: Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Hobbies: Plays golf and badminton badly but talks a good game! Enjoys travel and purports to enjoy good wine(i.e. he prefers it in a bottle rather than a plastic container!)
Experience/specialisms: Alan joined the practice in 1990 and with the experience of 35 years in practice he has a wealth of knowledge in all areas of accountancy and tax. As a general practitioner, Alan looks after the smooth running of the clients’ affairs and processes and has a particular interest in farming and manufacturing businesses. He specialises in Capital Taxes and Business Planning.
Qualifications: Is an Affiliate of the ICAEW.
Hobbies:Alan likes fast cars and exotic holidays. He is also an expert skier and loves the outdoor life(which is unfortunate because he is tied to a desk for most of the week!)
Rachel Dunn – Associate Director Experience/specialisms: Rachel has worked in Accountancy for over 20 years and deals extensively with the accounting technologies available to small business and training clients in their use. As a general practitioner she also deals with a varied portfolio of client businesses in all aspects of accountancy and tax matters.
Qualifications: Qualified with the Association of Accounting Technicians
Hobbies: enjoys being taxi driver to her children! Occasionally gets time off motherly duties to enjoy meals out with friends and other social activities.
As well as the three Directors, there are 7 support staff servicing clients’ accounts, book-keeping and tax affairs and operating our dedicated Payroll Bureau and Company Secretarial Service. These are a mix of qualified, part-qualified and administrative employees who, between them, have a very wide range of skills, knowledge and experience.
